Vengayam / Onion Thogaiyal
Today I'm going to give you a healthy Thogaiyal recipe which is prepared using Onion as the main ingredient! Here's the recipe!
Ingrediants
Onion - 3 or 4 nos
Black gram - 1 tbsp
Red Chilli - 4 or 5
Tamarind - a small amla sized ball
Salt to taste
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp

Method
Cut Onion into small squares.
Remove the unwanted chunks from tamarind! Tear it into small pieces and keep it.
In a thick bottomed pan, heat oil; roast black gram and red chillies till golden brown. Take it from the stove; Add the tamarind pieces to it and keep aside.
Roast cut onion with 1/2 tsp oil till it becomes transparent.
Grind all the roasted ingredients into fine paste with required salt.
Season with mustard seeds.
