Groundnut Chutney


Today I'm going to give you a Very simple Chutney recipe which is made with Groundnut! Here we go!


Ingredients



Roasted Groundnut - 1 cup
Red Chilli - 2 nos
Garlic - 5-7 pelletes
Salt to taste
Mustard seeds
Oil - for seasoning

Method



Take roasted groundnuts, garlic pelletes, red chillies, salt and grind it to a fine paste!

Season with mustard seeds.

If you are using raw groundnuts, then roast it to golden brown.

This chutney goes well with Idli, Dosa, Chappatis especially Kuzhipaniyaram!

Vengayam / Onion Thogaiyal


Today I'm going to give you a healthy Thogaiyal recipe which is prepared using Onion as the main ingredient! Here's the recipe!


Ingrediants

Onion - 3 or 4 nos
Black gram - 1 tbsp
Red Chilli - 4 or 5
Tamarind - a small amla sized ball
Salt to taste
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp

Method


Cut Onion into small squares.

Remove the unwanted chunks from tamarind! Tear it into small pieces and keep it.

In a thick bottomed pan, heat oil; roast black gram and red chillies till golden brown. Take it from the stove; Add the tamarind pieces to it and keep aside. 

Roast cut onion with 1/2 tsp oil till it becomes transparent.

Grind all the roasted ingredients into fine paste with required salt.

Season with mustard seeds.

It goes well with hot Rice accompanied by gingelly oil.
